Growing up isn't always easy... for puppies or the people who love them.
Surviving Adolescence
Take a Deep Breath.... You're Not Alone
One day your puppy seems to know everything you've taught them.
The next day it's as if they've forgotten everything!
Suddenly they don't come when called.
They're distracted by everything.
Their confidence can change from day to day.
If this Sounds Familiar...
Relax.
You're not doing anything wrong.
Adolescence is a normal stage of development, and almost every puppy goes through it.

Adolescence is a normal stage of development, and almost every puppy goes through it.
During adolescence your puppy's brain is changing just as quickly as their body.
They're becoming more independent.
Their curiosity is growing.
They're learning to make their own decisions.
Some days they seem incredibly mature...and sometimes the seem like they"re eight weeks old again.
This isn't stubbornness. It isn't defiance.
It's simply a part of growing up.
Our job isn't to fight adolescence.
It's to guide them through it.
Common Changes You Might Notice:
Appears to forget behaviours they once knew well.
Suddenly has " selective Hearing"
Tests boundaries they never questioned before.
Has bursts of confidence followed by moments of uncertainty.
Is more interested in the world around them than in you.
They're learning, growing and discovering who they are.
These changes don't mean your dog is being stubborn,
They're learning, growing and discovering who they are.
With patience, consistency, and understanding, they will find their way through this stage—and so will you.
