For over 25 years, Kelly Dearlove has dedicated her life to helping dogs and the people who love them. Combining compassionate, science-based training with a deep understanding of canine behaviour and holistic wellness, she creates a calm, positive learning experience that builds trust, confidence, and lasting relationships.
Kelly is a Professional Certified Dog Trainer, Canine Behaviour Counsellor, former professional groomer, and Service Dog Trainer with extensive experience working with puppies, family companions, and dogs with behavioural challenges. Throughout her career she has taught puppy and adult dog training classes, behaviour modification, reactivity rehabilitation, trick training, agility, rally obedience, therapy dog training and the Canadian Good Neighbour (CGN) program.
She is also certified in Animal First Aid, Canine Massage, Reiki Master & Animal Reiki, and specializes in separation anxiety and reactivity. Her holistic approach includes energy healing for both people and their animals, blending Reiki, intuitive guidance, alchemy, kinesiology, and gentle energy work to support emotional balance, fearfulness, anxiety, phobias, and energetic blockages. Kelly has also spent many years studying canine nutrition and believes that physical, emotional, and nutritional health all play an important role in a dog's overall well-being.
In 2015, Kelly developed the On Golden Paws Puppy Imprinting Program, a unique foundation program designed to help puppies grow into calm, confident, well-mannered family companions. During their stay, puppies begin learning essential life skills including potty training, crate training, confidence building, socialization, polite greetings, loose-leash walking, relaxation, and good manners—all through positive, reward-based methods.
Committed to lifelong learning, Kelly has studied with many of the world's leading experts in canine behaviour and training, including Dr. Ian Dunbar, Jean Donaldson, Susan Garrett, Chris Bach, Turid Rugaas, Leslie Nelson, and Leslie McDevitt's Control Unleashed® program, among many others.
Kelly's unique gift is her ability to combine exceptional technical knowledge with genuine compassion and intuition. Whether she is guiding a new puppy, helping a fearful or reactive dog, or supporting the bond between people and their animals, her mission is always the same—to help every dog and family thrive together with understanding, kindness, and respect.
